TOKAORA EUCHRE AND DANCE
PRESENTATION OF CERTIFICATES RED CROSS CLASS MEMBERS. A euchre party and dance in aki of Red Cross funds was held in the Tokaora Hall on Friday evening by the Tokaora branch of the AV.D.F.U.. a net sum. of approximately £4 being raised. The opportunity was also taken to present the medallions and certificates to members of the Tokaora branch of the Red Cross. The prize winners were: Mr J. McMahon 1: Mr T. Watkins 2; Mrs Peacock 1, Miss W. Huggins 2. The dance music was supplied by Mrs Muir (Hnwera). Mr. E. K. Cameron, vice-president of the South Taranaki executive o+ the Red Cross Society, presented certificates to members of the Tokaoin class and congratulated them, upon their success. Thanks were extended to Dr. Cameron for setting and marking tbe papers, to Mrs Evans for conducting ’the practical and oral examination, and to Miss Batten for placing her home at the disposal of the class. The two recipients of _ medallions were Miss I. Batten and Miss M. Jennings, first-year certificates being awarded to Mrs H. Wren, Mrs h. Thrush. Miss P. Ford, Miss A. Abus, Miss M. Wakelvn and Miss E. Griffin Miss Batten presented Sister Small with a token of appreciation from the class for Ifer assistance. Mrs wren presented Miss Batten with a bouquet and Miss Jennings also handed ’a bouquet to Sister Small.
