SOUTH TARANAKI ASSOCIATION RETURNS FOR JANUARY PERIOD The returns of the South Taranaki Herd Testing Association show that for the 30 dav period ended January 31, 5570 cows averaged 7951bs of milk with a 4.434 test, with 1 fat. The highest herd average (IQ7. coys) was 9791bs of milk at a 4.4 test with 43.9811;>h of fat. 'The highest individual average ivas 871 b of fat m 30 days. T|he best average for a herd over 100 cows was 43.981 b of fat returned by 107 cows. For herds from 5Q to IQQ cows a return of 43.771 b of fat was secured by 59 cows, and for herds under ‘SO a, return ef 41.621 b of fat was secured by 35 cows.
