RAIDERS REMOVE SAFE
PALMERSTON BURGLARY CONTAINS £8 IN CASH (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON, Jan. 31 The discovery was made this morning that burglars had entered the premises of the Haywood Vulcanising Works in Rangitikei Street and removed a safe containing £8 in notes and silver. The front door had been forced. The- safe was of a weighty nature and it would require two men to lift it. An unsuccessful attempt was made to steal the safe from the same premises a year ago.
