ANNUAL MEETING ADJOURNED DIR KK'TORS’ REVIEW OF SEASON Owing to. a lack of a quorum, the annual meeting of the liawera Egg Circle, to have been held last evening, was adjourned to a date to be fixed later. In the annual report the directors regret the continued downward trend •of'"prices, due no. doubt' largely to the decreased spending power of the people-. While it was discouraging to members, if there were no circle operating in the district members would get still lower prices and might during the flush be unable to dispose of their eggs at all. A total ot| 8897 dozen, eggs was marketed at air average price of slightly over Is 2d per dozen, against 10,101 dozen at an average price of rattier more than Is 3}d fast year. Nearly half were disposed of locally at slightly over Is 4d uer dozen, and the balance realised nearly Is Ifd on the Wellington market. Of those sent to Wellington 470 dozen were graded special, 2290 dozen A grade, 9SO dozen B grade and 1.030 dozen ducks. Prices ranged from 9d to 2s 5d per dozen. A. grade nn dducks generally ‘brought from Jd to 14d below that for special. The average number of eggs supplied per member was 1.72 dozen, compared with 203 dozen in the previous season. The balance-sheet disclosed a loss of £5 on tlie year’s working. The loss wii,s carried to the appropriation account, which stood in credit to the exof £2l 4s 9d. During the year i\'r S. C. Smith, vice-president, and M-s Gfane, a member of the executive, resigned membership. The membership at October 31 was. 50, an increase of one.
