EGMONT BOX COMPANY
MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS TARANAKI BOX AND CRATE BUSINESS. At a special meeting in Eltham today 7 of shareholding companies in the Egrnont Box Company, .it was agreed by practically 7 every dairy company in Taranaki to obtain the whole of its butter-box and cheese-crate requirements from the Box Company. The decision is a most important one to the dairy industry of Taranaki and is regarded as being of very material assistance to the company. Mr J. S. McKay, chairman- of the board of directors, presided over a very large attendance. The meeting was not open to the Press, but it was afterwards stated that the principal business was to discuss- the question of factories crate and box orders. Practically every shareholding company wa-s represented as well as a number of non-shareholding companies.
