A ' cricket team representing the Manaia unemployed defeated the Hirer dale factory team on Thursday afternoon at Manaia by the narrow margin of seven runs, the scores being Unemployed 66, Riverdale 59. .For the winners Dakers (15), Ryan (14) and Seannell (12) were the principal scorers, and Riverdale’s top scorer was Poole with. 14 runs. GENERAL. The Manaia Municipal Rand, under conductor J. A. G. Cosgrove, rendered an attractive programme' in the rotunda on Saturday evening.
