LOWER INTEREST RATE
■ AUSTRALIAN TREASURY BILLS (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) CANBERRA, Jan. 27. The assistant Treasurer (Mr F. -Greene) announced that the banks had agreed to reduce the rate -of interest charged on Government Treasury Bills from 31 to ?A per cent. The saving to the various Governments would be £125,000 a year.
