The first instance of a symbolical representation of Britannia being considered improper has arisen. The Overseas Trade Department is exhibiting a poster of invitation to the British Industries Fair. It is surmounted by th(©figure of Britannia, which has been wit hdrawn in "Turkey, Egypt and Syria owing to the becoming attitude offending . certain oriental .religious susceptibilities. The department, however, is risking the effect ori other morals and is exhibiting 10,000 similar posters throughout Britain.
