NORMANDY
FORMER RESIDENT PASSES. The death of Mrs E. 0. Meredith at New Plymouth on Wednesday recalls the fact that her mother, who was previously Mrs. Roberts, was mistress at Normanby school for - some years before 1890. She will be-remem-bered by Normanby residents. Mrs. Roberts afterwards married the late slr. E. C. (Meredith of Normanpy. They had four sons, Messrs. Edgar, Fred, Percy and Guy. Miss Roberts was married to Mr. Edgar Meredith and they settled at Oakura and later took over the Terminus Hotel at New Plymouth, wliere they have lived until the present time. Owing to Mrs Meredith’s death, the East End Surf Club postponed its usual club night on Thursday and passed a vote of sympathy with Mr. Meredith and relatives.
