QUESTIONS REGARDING UNEMPLOYMENT. RELIEF ALLOCATION INQUIRY. (By Tol<>eraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, Jan. 27. The House of Representatives met at 10.30 a.m.. Replying to Mr. Samuel, Hon. J. H. Hamilton said that it was not possible to make relief allocations to all country towns on the. same basis as allocations to the four main centres. It was considered that there was a much greater chance in the country districts of obtaining odd clays’ work. Mr, Samuel : Not in Waihi. Mr Hamilton undertook dciring the week-end to ascertain definitely what the position was in the country districts and to see if anything further could be done. ‘The Onehunga and One Tree> Hill Borough Water Supply Projection But Mr. Mason) were introduced and read a first time. Ministerial statements relating to the Government’s policy were presented by Mr Forbes and Mr Coates. After the 'ministerial statements had been read Air. Forbes intimated that he expected the Banking Indemnity Bill to be ready for presentation at 2.30 p.m. He suggested that the House should be adjourned until then. This course was adopted, the house adjourning at 11.25 a.m.
