THEFT OF BOARD FUNDS

William George Norman Hutchison, a clerk, aged 28. pleaded guilty this morning to ten charges of -stealing sums totalling £971 belonging to the Transport Board by whom be formerly was employed. It was stated in evidence that tbe accused disclosed defalcations to the accountant and gave tbe fullest assistance to the police. For months lie had been duplicating cheques, mostly for sums of £l, £;> and £2. representing relief.wage tax payments and suliseouentlv cashing the cheques.
Accused pleaded guilty and was committed for sentence. He was admitted to bail at £260.
