SUSPICIONS OF CORONER
CITY FTRIB OUTBREAKS THREE IN ONE ROOM (Bv TfiWraph— Cress Association.) CHRISTCHURCH. Jan. 26. Comment on the suspicious nature of a fire was made by Mr B. D. Mosley, S.M., as coroner at an inquiry into an outbreak on September 14 in a shop and dwelling-house at- 323 Madras Street, pccupied by Mrs Jessie Manson. “Tlie whole of the facts surrounding this fire are of a highly suspicious nature,” said Mr Mosley. “There were three fires in three different parts of the room, all totally disconnected, and there is nothing to account for their origin. The whole thing creates an air or suspicion, lam unable, however, to bring in any verdict other than that the premises were damaged by firs."
