BUSINESS NOTICES. Bv advertisement Misses- F. Campbell'and W. Hall, who are certificated infant teachers, announce that the Hawera Kindergarten will reopen on Tuesday. January 31, at the Presbyterian Hall. For the convenience of parents who may wish to the principals the room will ibe open from 2 p.m. to o p.m. on Monday next. Children from three to six years, of age, will he accepted for tuition.
An automatic doll, given to the Franklin Institute, Philadelphia writes poetry in English and in French, and also draws pictures. At the conclusion of its performance it makes a bow. The only assistance need ed bv the automaton is the winding up of a heavy spring.
