BABY BOY DROWNED
FALL FROM CREEK BRIDGE.
BODY IN SHALLOW WATER
(By Toli-^raph—Tress Association.) ROTORUA, Nov. 18. Selwvn Hovwood, 18 months old, the son of‘Mrs.'and Mr. S. R. Hovwood, was drowned on Thursday afternoon at Nonkuru. The child was playing beside a creek near its parents’ home and apparentlv endeavoured to cross a plank bridge spanning the water The mother missed the child and followed in search of it, to find' the child lying in two feet of water near a bridge. The child had then been in the water for some time and life was extinct.
