MINERS VOTE FOR STRIKE

NIGHTCAPS UNION DECISION. PITS CLOSING INDEFINITELY. (By Telegraph—Press Association). INVERCARGILL, Nov. 17. It is reported that a. meeting of the Nightcaps Miners’ Union to-day decided to carry on with the strike. According to the report the owners offered work to 18S of the men on strike and indicated that in the event of the owners’ terms being rejected they would close the mines indefinitely. The men circularised referred the matter to the union, which rejected the owners’ terms. The mines concerned are Mossiburn, Linton and Warake, all at Ohau.
