CANBERRA, Nov. 17. The deputy leader of the Opposition, Mr F. M. Forde (who was Minister of Trade and Customs in the Scullin Government), was suspended for the remainder of the sitting after a rowdy scene in the House of Representatives (luring the consideration in committee of the Ottawa Agreement. Bill. Mr Forde had been called to order several times. Mr Parkhill, Minister of Home Affairs, who had charge of tko House, subsequently moved, amid uproar, that Mr Forde be suspended. The Opposition tellers declined to take a count and the motion was agreed to. Early there had been a scene of wild disorder. Only an hour was allowed by the Government for the 'discussion of Article 12, which was held by the Labour Party to be the most contentious of the agreement. "When Mr Parkhill rose to speak Labour members began shouting and it was impossible for Mr Parkhill to make himself heard above the din of interjections, which lasted for ten minutes.

Mr. Riordan , was named, but withdrew his remarks and apologised. When the guillotine fell Mr Parkhill and Mr Beasley were on their feet shouting at each other at the top of their voices. The clause was carried by 37 to 21 votes.
