In the Magistrate ’,S Court to-day Gilbert Edward Northcott, aged 28, a seaman, was charged with breaking and entering the counthior house of Harold Edwards and stealing shares, certificates, post office certificates and money valued at £350. Northcott a mian named Dennis) Henry Fryer, aged 26, a seaman, were, jointly charged with Tweaking and entering the warehouses of Henry Schneideman and Sons and the Manchester Manufacturing Co. and stealing goods valued at £l3l 18s. Northcott was further charged with .stealing two cameras valued at £5 8s 6d. After a number of witnesses had given evidence both the accused pleaded not guilty and were committed to the Supreme. Court for trial.
