WOMEN’S UNION AT HA WET! A
CONFERENCE! REPORTS RECEIVED
The last* meeting of the. Methodist Women’s Missionary Union for this rear was held' at the Wesley Hall in Haw-era. on Tuesday afternoon. There "'as a good attendance. Miss P. Bates (secretary) read a. report of the recent conference of the union held in Wanganui towards the ?nd of October. The report told of the -splendid work done on both Home fuel, foreign, fields, of the courage and« ortitude shown by the sisters at isolated stations in the Solomon Islands in cl in remote parts of New Zealand, 'he report of the financial situation vas cheering too, in that though times "'ere hard, the union had placed another sister in the home field in North Auckland.
Mrs L. J. Williams presided and ifternoon tea was screed by the ladies.
