SYDNEY, Sept. 6. Unprecedented scenes were witnessed at the Newcastle Quarter Sessions when the names of 288 jurymen, the largest number ever summoned for a single case in New South Wales, were called at the trial of 30 men arrested after the alleged eviction riot in June. ' The accused challenged 121 who were called for the jury. Fifteen of the accused exhausted their right of challenge.
