DISPUTE ON WATERFRONT
OVERTIME! R ATES; REFUSED. ATTITUDE AT NAPIER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NAPIER, Sept. 5. Napier watersiders engaged to-day unloading the Poolta’s produce from southern ports refused to work overtime to-night unless they were paid the old rates. In consequence work ceased, as the employers declare that the understanding was that work would proceed in the meantime on the old conditions but at new«rates of pay.
