RATES FOR BUTTER FIRM
HARDENING IN MARKETS
DANISH QUOTATION ADVANCES PROMISE TO DOMINIONS. AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND. .United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) Received 12.30 p.mto-day. LONDON, Sept. 4. The butter market has developed firmness. Prices are steadily harden-in-r with a good consumptive demand. The (Danish quotation advanced 10s vesterday to 124 s ewt. This was due to German restrictions against Denmark being modified «nd permitting of larger imports and it is reported that Germany this week bought an extra 4000 eas’ks. It is also likely that Belgium will soon modify the import restrictions. Consequently less Danish will come here and it seems not improbable that prices will harden further. Altogether the outlook for Australia and New Zealand appears brighter than for some time past.
