THE FLOCK HOUSE SCHEME
SOUTH TARANAKI QUOTA. FUNDS IN' .HAND. The Hawera Savage Glub, by means of the concert given at Kaponga, earns the credit of obtaining the balance required to provide for the South Taranaki quota of two sons or ex-servicemen to have the advantage of farming training at Flock House under the scheme at present in operation with the assistance of Government subsidy. One of the two lads qualified has already gone to Flock 'House and sufficient funds are now available to send the other forward as soon as arrangements are made with the Flock House trustees.
The second boy being a Kaponga resident the people of the town and district supported the effort of the Savage 'Club with a full house and those who attended were enthusiastic in appreciation of the programme presented. At the conclusion of the concert the ladies of the town entertained the visitors at supper and afterwards there were a few dances to conclude a very successful and enjoyable evening.
