In building a,, war memorial on Montfancon 1 , in the Argonne, France, the workers discovered the foundations of an old castle built in 1076. This fortress was destroyed and reconstructed in the ,11th. 13th, 15th, 16th and 17th centuries. It was also the scene of an American attack on an energy position in 1918. Woods’ Great.
