NEW HAIRCUTS
TO SUIT NEW MILLINERY. BECOMING- LESS ELABORATE. Long hair, that turns up into a little roll in the nape of the neck, has had its day, apparently, says a London writer. And for the new hats new haircuts are making their appearance.
At a Dover Street hairdressers, mannequins give dress displays while the clients have their hair arranged in a sleek, short shingle or waved with tight little curls over each ear, reminiscent of Greek statues.
There is a tendency for hairwaving to grow much less elaborate, and a parting low down on one side with a big wave on the opposite temple is the style most people prefer. Incidentally, it is very becoming. Lacquered wigs are very little seen as vet in London.
' The new and very sophisticated “sideways” parting looks at its best with a windswept shingle, and begins over the left evehrow, to sweep diagonallv across the head and end just behind the right ear. The hair is brushed away from it on both sides and the short ends curried forward.
