JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP
-OKAIAWA DEFEATS OHANGAI
MARGIN" OF 10 POINTS TO NINE
The Ohangai and Okaiawa junior teams, winners of the Wednesday and Saturday competitions respectively, met at Hawcra in the play-off for the divisional championship, Okaiawa winning by 10 points to nine after a particularly keen tussle. Until late m the second spell the teams were six all, each having scored two unconverted tries. Okaiawa then added four points with a field goal, and within a few minutes of time Oliangai scored a penalty o-oal. T. Guy and Hooper scored Okaiawa’s tries and Hooper also kicked the field goal. Lander and .Dixon scored for Ohangai, Lander also securing the penalty goal. TARANAKI REPRESENTATIVES. TEAMS TO PLAY WANGANUI. The following Rugby teams to represent Taranaki in return matches against Wanganui have been selected by Messrs W. A. Guy, C. Brown and D. j! Malone.
