-OKAIAWA DEFEATS OHANGAI

MARGIN" OF 10 POINTS TO NINE

The Ohangai and Okaiawa junior teams, winners of the Wednesday and Saturday competitions respectively, met at Hawcra in the play-off for the divisional championship, Okaiawa winning by 10 points to nine after a particularly keen tussle. Until late m the second spell the teams were six all, each having scored two unconverted tries. Okaiawa then added four points with a field goal, and within a few minutes of time Oliangai scored a penalty o-oal. T. Guy and Hooper scored Okaiawa’s tries and Hooper also kicked the field goal.
