FLOODS IN YORKSHIRE
MANY EVACUATE HOMES. REMEDIAL PLANS CONSIDERED. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 25. Owing to the floods at Bentley-, Yorkshire, about 2500 persons were evacuating homes to-day, stated the Minister of Health (Sir Hilton Young) in the House of Commons. Many would go to friends and adequate arrangements were made for others. Various land and drainage authorities were considering remedial measures to prevent similar floods in the future.
