Old time and modern dances are included on the programme for the Hawera Highland Pipe Band dance to be held in the Winter Show Buildings this (Thursday) evening. Attrill’s orchestra will be in attendance and a good floor and supper axe promised. Stating that lie intended to open a' spaghetti factory in Christchurch if he oould obtain the necessary capital, a Wellington Italian wrote to the Canterbury Disabled Soldiers’ Re-establish-ment Committee asking for assistance. When the letter was received at a meeting of the committee it was stated that it was not known whether the Italian was a naturalised New Zealander or whether he was a returned soldier.
