VISIT TO HOKITIKA. DEPUTATIONS RECEIVED (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HOKITIKA,, May 25. The Hon. C. B. Macmillan, Minister of Mines, arrived at Hokitika yesterday. He visited the Kokatahi, Koute-x-angi and Rimu dredges and in the evening received deputations from the county council, the px'ospectmg association and the unemployment committee. The mechanical appliances in connection with the mining operations greatly surprised the Minister, who proceeded to South Westland this morning. He is. l'eturning on, Friday.
