plunket society. At the monthly meeting of the Patea Plunket Society the nurse (Miss A. Horrell) reported: Babies on hooks 45, older children 43, total 88; new cases for April, mothers 4, babies 4, others 2, total 10; sales, £5 10s 9d; visits to homes, old 30, new 13, total 43; visits to office, seven days, adults 86, babies 80, children 9, total 175; branch sales, £8 8s lOd; total sales £l3 19s 7d. Silver paper was acknowledged from S. Slacken, D. Haddow, Pat Hall, A. Taylor, Hazel and Betty Watson, Joan Hill, Betty Jones and M. Rossiter. Regulation Plunket straps were to be sold at cost. The result of the recent ball was very satisfactory, a profit of £ls being shown as compared with £3O last year. Mesdames Ingley, Nelson and Haddow, Gihnour, Roots, Harris and Haswell had given assistance.
