WOMEN’S DIVISION
HOUSE PARTY AT HAWERA. About 25 ladies accepted the invitation of Mrs. J. C. Robb to a. party arranged at her home in Camberwell Road, Hawera, yesterday afternoon, under the aegis of the Hawera branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmans ’ Union. Competitions were arranged and kept the gathering busy for some time, Mrs Stevens eventually winning a menu competition and Mrs. Allwright that for drawing. Second prizes went to Mmes. Wilson and Tosland. Songs were contributed by Mrs. Allwright and Mrs. T. G. Sunderland and recitations by Mrs. Robb and Mrs. G. Toclcer. A small amount was contributed by each one present and it was resolved to suggest that this be devoted to the funds of the division. Those present were Mrs. Robb and Miss Robb. Mines. Cruickshank, Roberts, Tarrant, Ogle, Roberts jr., Tosland, Freeman, M. Wilson, Allan, Toeker, Sunderland, Allwright, Denize, Crighton, 11. Thrush, Mills, Barltrop, Rae, Hall, A. E. Stevens, Myers. R. Corkill, Moss, Misses Wilson and Allan. Members of the branch have been asked bo attend a gathering ro innovate clothes for those in need and a party proceeded to Eltham to-day for a meeting of the division.
