DIVORCE CASE LASTS A WEEK. POSSIBILITY OF NEW TRIAL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 24. A divorce ease which occupied Mr. Justice McGregor and a jury in the Supreme Court, for a week concluded to-day when the jury awarded the petitioner, Norman Stanley Lawn, company manager, Wellington, £IOOO damages against George Leonard Reese, commercial traveller, Wellington. The grounds of the petition were alleged acts of adultery bv petitioner’s wife, Eva Lawn, with the co-respondent. Leave was reserved to respondent and the co-respondent to move within 14 days for a new trial, and a stay of all proceedings was allowed pending the filing of a motion for a new trial. Costs on the higher scale with disbursements were allowed against the co-respondent.
