EIGHT KILLED IN MINE
RESCUERS AMONG VICTIMS ENGLISH COLLIERY TRAGEDY. DEAD INCLUDE MANAGER (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) LONDON, May 24. Five colliers were killed at the Shilling Gutter mine, near Bakewell, Derbyshire, and three members of a rescue party, including the mine manager, also lost their lives in a heroic effort to succour their comrades.
