Is nicotine poisonous? Well, what about the case of Alice Crawford, the young domestic, whose terrible death was' recently recorded in London. One day the poor girl rushed into 1 her unstress's presence shrieking that she had been poisoned. Five minutes later she was dead. Appeared that her master kept a bottle of liquid nicotine in his room , used it to kill weeds. Curiosity evidently prompted deceased to taste it. Her lips and tongue were badly burned.
