NEW SCALE OF TARIFFS
AGREEMENT WITH CANADA. OPERATION FROM TO-DAY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 23. A supplementary Gazette issued tonight contains notification that the trade agreement between Canada and New Zealand, entered into on April 23, will be, brought into force to-morrow. Old Customs duties on Canadian goods affected by the agreement are revoked in order to make way for the new scale of tariffs.
