FATAL 'DPLANE CRASH
AUSTRALIAN IN AMERICA DEATH FROM 200-FEET FALL PILOT AND FRIEND INJURED (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) Received 9.30 a.m. to-day. NEW YORK, May 23. A message from Hyannis, Massachusetts, states that Mr Tom Skeyiiill, an Australian lecturer, died as the result of injuries received in the forced landing of an aeroplane oil Saturday night when Hying with his secretary, who was also his pilot, and another friend.
Mr Skeyhill was taking a pleasure ride near his summer home when it is believed the ’plane developed engine trouble and dropped 200 feet. The pilot and Mr Skeyhill’s friend was seriously injured. Mr Skeyhill has used the aeroplane to travel about the country on lecture tours. His: widow and baby were in New York at the time.
