SYDNEY, May 24. The Premier, Mr. B. S. B. Stevens, has announced that- tbe Moratorium Act will be extended beyond April, 1933, and that debtors to the State Government will be brought within its provisions. If Mr. Stevens is returned with a majority at the elections 117,500 borrowers who owe the Government in the aggregate £ol,siy,UUU will be -in a position to get relief by the proposed legislation. , The “Herald” .says it is stated in political circles that one of the aims of the Lang Government was to -secure the appointment of Mr. Piddmgton, K.C. as Governor on the recall or oir Philip Game which was confidently predicted in the Trades Hall.
