TRIAL OF RELIABILITY. TEST OF BRITISH MACHINES. (Britisli Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 20 A War Office report records a fine performance of British motor vehicles in Southern Sudan between Januray 18, when a convoy of four military vehicles left Cairo, April 16, when the iourney of 3000 miles was completed. Only a neglibible proportion of this mileage was over made roads. Trackless desert and hilly ground represented 1650 miles, black cotton soil 1660 miles, very heavy sand 400 miles, and bard gravel or sandy soil 1280 miles. Throughout there were only five punctures,' and no accidents occurred. The report says the War Office is satisfied that British car and lorry manufacturers are now producing vehicles eminently suitable for Imx>erial and colonial employment.
