Shortly after G. 30 o’clock this mornings the Hawera Volunteer Fire Bri,r ‘> do was summoned to an outbreak of fire at the borough depot in Albion Street. A dense cloud of smoke was found issuing from the main building, where a pot of bitumen had boiled over. The flames were suppressed with little difficulty and no damage resulted.
