SHIP RETURNS TO PORT

MISHAP TO WESTMORELAND. VOYAGING TO NEW PLYMOUTH. (By Telegraph—Press Association.l WELLINGTON, Feb. 19. Shortly after the Federal liner Westmoreland cleared the heads for New Plymouth at four o’clock this afternoon trouble was experienced in the starboard turbines. The Union Company’s tug Terawli iti proceeded to the heads and accompanied the Westmoreland hack to the wharf, which was reached at 7 p.m. It is thought the turbine is stripped. Repairs will be effected here and it is hoped they will be completed by Monday.
