CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 24,

William Morris was found guilty in goods valued at £55 and £6 9s Gd in the Supreme Court of the theft of money from A. J. White, Limited. Morris had a confederate employed at White’s furniture and hardware shop. Morris sold the goods to people at much below their value, collected the cash and shared it with his accomplice (already ’ convicted) within the shop, and the accomplice prevented the sales from being entered in the firm's books. Morris was remanded for sentence.
