MOTHER’S STORY TO COURT
ERUTAL ASSAULT ALLEGED YOUTH FORBIDDEN HOUSE. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) 'CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 12. In the Magistrate’s Court to-day Arthur Francis Bailey, aged 18, was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called on, on a. charge of unlawfully assaulting his mother, the informant. He was forbidden by the court to enter his mother’s house and was ordered to pay the costs of the action. Informant told an extraordinary story, alleging her son had thrown knives at her, wounding her once in tht* leg and had thumped her on the floor. All this was because he had been called on to contribute to her maintainance.
