Tu the Magistrate’s Court at Hawera to-day Mr. J. If. Salmon, fcUl., heard the application of Vera 1 earson. of Palmerston North, for separation, maintenance and guardianship orders in respect of herself and her four children against Henry Pearson. After the hearing; of evidence an order for Cl ner week maintenance was made, the Magistrate taking into consideration the fact that the husband was unemployed. Guardianship of the children was allowed, hut the matter of separation was not proceeded with counsel withdrawing the application. Air G Chuck appeared fos* defendant andi Mv. P. O’Dea for applicant.
