SEVEN; PETITIONS GRANTED. Undefended divorce petitions were beam by Hon. Mr Justice Reed in the (Supreme Court at New Plymouth on Saturday. A decree nisi absolute was. granted Sarah Hilda Nairn, on the motion of Mr P. O’Dea, in respect of the dissolution of her marriage with Oswald Waters Nairn. A decree nisi absolute was. granted William Henry Thomas (Air J. Sheat) in respert of the dissolution of his marriage with Clarice Charlotte Thomas, and permanent custody of the children, was granted petitioner. Thomas Henry Stokes (Air P. O’Dea) petitioned for a dissolution of his marriage with Elizabeth Ann Stokes (Air. St L. Reeves) on the grounds of adultery. Joseph Oswald Carlson (Air A. A. Bennett) was cited as corespondent. Air Bennett and Air Reeves asked leave to withdraw the defence in respect of their respective clients. Petitioner, in evidence, said he was a factory employee, of Urenui. He was married to the respondent on April 15, 1926, and they lived at Urenui. Then respondent left him and went to live at Tangarakau Flat under another name. costs on the lowest scale. Vida Helen Pel lew (Mr R. H, Qoilliain) petitioned for a dissolution of' her marriage with John Edwin Pellew (Mr O. H. Weston) on the grounds of desertion. She* and respondent were married on August 20, 1928, said petitioner. They lived at New Plymouth till October 1, 1927, when respondent left. There were two children. The parties; had not lived together since, and petitioner had supported herself. A. decree nisi was granted, to be moved absolute in three months, with, costs on the lowest scale. Ellen Florence Lankow (Mi- P. O’Dea.) asked for a dissolution of her. marriage with Albert Henry- Ernest I Lankow (Air St. L. Reeves) on the grounds of adultery. Petitioner stated from the box that she and respondent were married on November 12, 1900, but they had not livod together for nearly two years. She had left him because she heard of some doings with a. single girl. Corroborative evidence was given by Leslie Jackson, Hawera, a cousin, who said that respondent came to him when the latter was in. trouble with the single girl mentioned. A decree nisi was granted, to be moved absolute in three with interim custody of the children and costs on the lowest scale.
