The township of Baradine has been practically destroyed by fire. There was no lire brigade in the town and a shop had to be pulled do,wn to check the flames. At trie height of the lire a woman named Davies entered her ishop to recover goods, but was overcome. She was, however, rescued. The damage is estimated at about £IO,OOO.
