CENTRAL CHAAIPIOXSHIP. WIN FOR F. WESTON (AVON). (Special to “The Star.”) STRATFORD, Alarch 6. Play on the Avon green yesterday resulted in F. W-pston (Avon) winning the championship of the Central Division. The contestants were: E. Spurdle (Inglewood), J. R. Al. Stewart (Kitham), W. Harris (Stratford) and /. Weston (Avon). Stewart was first eliminated and spnrdle drew the live. Spnrdle defeated Harris decisively, sending his -Yowls up to the right place one after mother, and seeming not- to he able to do anything wrong. This game eliminated Harris, and the final lay between Spnrdle and Weston. In this game Spnrdle did not show so well, being at sea on several occasions as regards length, hut his general style and his consistently clean shots pleased the small “gallery.” Following are details of the games: Harris heat Stewart, 21 —11. , Weston boat Spnrdle, 21 —18. 1 Smirdle heat Stewart. 21—15. Harris heat Weston, 21 —18. Weston heat Harris, 21—16. Snurdle heat Harris, 21 —14. Weston heat Spnrdle, 21 —10.
