CLOUDBURST SWAMPS TOWN STREETS TURNED INTO RIVERS SHOPPING AREA INUNDATED. (United Press Association—By EHectrie Tdegrupr Copyright). Received 11.30 a.m. to-day. SYDNEY, March 0. A cloudburst remarkable for its intensity and the area it affected swamped the township of Penrith last night. Rain fell in torrents for two and a half hours, and in the. main street the water reached a height of four feet. Shops were flooded and traffic disorganised. Hundreds of ears were stranded on the main mountain mad, which was impassable.
