CAUGHT WITH OPIUM
CHASE IN CITY STREETS PLYING STEWARD ARRESTED FINE OF £250 IMPOSED. (By Telegraph—Press Association. ) WELLINGTON, March 5. Nine tins of opium, to the value or £IBO, were found in possession of Charles Thomas Mclntyre, a steuaid on the Maunganui, after a chase along Manners Street into Herbert Street. Mr. Page, S.M., to-day imposed a penalty of a £250 fine, or, in default, six months’ imprisonment.
