Additional drastic previsions have been inserted in the State . Ministry’s Amending Arbitration Bill. The measure 2>rovides for absolute preference m j.iiip.oyinent to financial unionists. All loyal employees "who came to the aid of tiie Government during the 1917 industrial upheaval -will be compelled to join the trade unions recognised by the official labour movement and the registration of six industrial unions are to be cancelled. Under one clause an officer of an industrial union may require an employer to terminate the employment of any employee who, at any time after January 1, 1917, had been engaged or retained during the period of any cessation of work of other employees in the industry on account of industrial dispute and has not subsequently become a member of the union.
