Shearing is now in full swing at Longreach and Barcaldine and the strike has been declared off in the Blackall and Cunnamulla districts. ATTEMPT TO WRECK TRAIN. Received 12.30 p.m to-day. BRISBANE, Feb. 24. i An abortive attempt was made to wreck a mail train carrying shearers near Barcaldine. Fishplate bolts were removed and dogspikes drawn.
