STRUCK BY CIRCULAR SAW
ACCIDENT AT MOKOIA MILL. - SHOCKING HEAD INJURIES. While oiling the bearings of a circular saw at the Taranaki Timber Company’s mill, Mokoia, yesterday afternoon, Harry Percy, a young single man, sustained shocking injuries to the right side of his chin and face through coming into, contact with the saw. His condition this morning was reported to* he very serious. The bearings are below the level of the saw bench and Percy apparently lifted his head before being clear, striking, the edge of the saw. Dr. R. G. Sinclair was called to the mill and the man was conveyed to the Hawera Hospital for an immediate operation.
